Nicole Fura

MHC Intern

As a Masters of Clinical Mental Health Counseling Intern, I aim to create a safe and nonjudgmental space for each one of my clients to be able to build rapport necessary to establish treatment plans specific to their needs, and experience a meaningful therapeutic journey. To establish rapport, I ensure clients know they have support in their journey by feeling the trust and safety needed to communicate their needs and worries. I incorporate a variety of techniques including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Person-Centered, and Mindfulness Therapy in my sessions. I have a passion for working with children, adolescents, and young adults experiencing symptoms of anxiety, fears and/ or panic, grief, and experiencing difficulty adjusting to sudden life transitions. Through working collaboratively with each client, we find what best works for their current presenting problems. Seeking and attending therapy is a courageous act which directly lessens the stigma surrounding mental health. I strive to ensure each individual knows therapy can and will be a helpful outlet.

Outside of my sessions, I enjoy being in nature, hanging out with family and friends, and taking care of my plants!
