As a Clinical Mental Health Counselor, I am very passionate about helping my clients become more self-aware and achieve personal growth. I work with my clients to help them understand the challenges they face and help them to build coping skills so that they are able to succeed and thrive. In my work, I like to be empathetic and compassionate, yet bring humor and fun into the room when appropriate. I view therapy as a collaborative process, and use a variety of evidence-based treatments that have a track record of success. I work with adults, teens, and children, treating a wide variety of issues, ranging from anxiety and depression to complex trauma, grief and relationship issues. I do have a special interest in helping teenagers and young adults navigate issues with identity and personal growth. The main modalities guiding my clinical work are Client-Centered Therapy, Relational Therapy, and Trauma-Informed perspectives to identify the beliefs and patterns that are keeping you from experiencing your life in the healthiest, most fulfilling, and most meaningful ways.
My approach aims to provide validation and support in making meaning of the past and present while striking a balance with offering guidance and encouragement in using that insight to fuel change. It is important for me to create a space for you to feel comfortable, and open. My goals are to help you reach your goals in a supportive, empathetic, and compassionate space where you feel safe. I recognize the courage it takes to come to therapy and believe that transformation happens in the context of relationships when people feel heard and understood. My hope is to invite clients into a safe space where we have the opportunity to honestly confront painful and uncomfortable issues.
Outside of work I enjoy spending time reading a book, enjoying the warm weather and spending time with my family and friends.
