Ashlee Basich

MSW Intern

Hi! I’m Ashlee Basich, a Social Work Intern currently pursuing my Master of Social Work degree at Utica University. I take a collaborative, strengths-based, and client-centered approach to therapy, meeting each individual with empathy and respect. I believe that therapy works best when clients feel heard, supported, and empowered, and I strive to create a safe and nonjudgmental space where that can happen.

I work with children, adolescents, and young adults, supporting them as they navigate emotional challenges, life transitions, and everyday stressors. My sessions are tailored to each client’s unique needs and developmental level, with a focus on building coping skills, increasing emotional awareness, and fostering confidence and resilience. I move at the client’s pace, honoring their experiences while helping them identify strengths and tools they can carry beyond the therapy room.

I value collaboration not only with clients, but also with caregivers and support systems when appropriate. My goal is to help clients feel empowered to understand themselves better, manage their emotions more effectively, and work toward meaningful, sustainable growth.

Outside of therapy, I’m a big animal lover, and I own one dog and two cats. I prioritize self-care through yoga, traveling, drawing, and spending quality time with friends and family.
