Arianna Caruso

MHC Intern

Hi! I’m Arianna Caruso, a Mental Health Counselor Intern currently pursuing my graduate degree at Lamar University. My work is grounded in both Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and a Person-Centered Approach, which means I meet each client with empathy, respect, and unconditional positive regard. I tailor sessions to each individual’s unique needs, empowering them to find their voice, build resilience, and work toward meaningful growth.

I work with children, teens, and young adults navigating anxiety, self-esteem challenges, life transitions, and emotional regulation. I tailor each session to the developmental needs of the individual, using a combination of evidence-based strategies and playful and creative techniques.

During my residency, I led an advocacy project focused on teens struggling with Eating Disorders. I collaborated with my school, developed psychoeducational resources, and facilitated open conversations about body image and mental health. This experience deepened my passion for early intervention and community-focused care.

My goal is always to put the client’s needs first, whether I’m working with a child learning to manage big emotions or a young adult facing new life challenges. I believe that healing begins in connection, and I’m committed to walking alongside each person with empathy, encouragement, and clinical insight.

Outside of the therapy room, I practice what I teach—self-care is a big part of my life. I enjoy doing yoga, hanging out with my loved ones, and a good facemask!
